Newcastle United have reportedly agreed a £9.8m fee with Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of defender Stanley N'Soki.
The 20-year-old, who came through PSG's academy, made his senior debut in 2017 and made 12 Ligue 1 appearances under Thomas Tuchel last season.
Newly-appointed manager Steve Bruce is keen on adding further reinforcements to his squad after completing the signing of Hoffenheim striker Joelinton for £40m.
According to RMC, Newcastle and PSG have settled on a fee for N'Soki but are still some way off agreeing personal terms with the player.
Negotiations are expected to continue in the coming hours, with PSG determined to secure a 20% sell-on clause.
Bruce has reportedly targeted another defender in Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose, but the Englishman's wage demands are too high.
