Millwall will be hoping to retain their playoff position and keep their promotion push on track when they face Bristol City at The Den on Thursday night in the Championship.
The Robins are enduring a very tough patch in their season with many supporters turning against manager Nigel Pearson, whereas Millwall fans are in dreamland after defeating rivals Watford on Boxing Day.

Millwall are back at The Den after a successful trip to Watford and will be fully confident in collecting another three points on Thursday night.
The Bristol City camp seems a very unhappy place to be at the moment, and at a ground where you need to stick together and fight for a result, it is hard to see the Robins getting anything for their efforts in this one.

Wigan vs. Sunderland (Thursday, 7.45pm)
Wigan Athletic will be looking to record their first win under new manager Kolo Toure when they host Sunderland in the Championship on Thursday night at the DW Stadium.
The Black Cats had a successful Boxing Day after a last-minute goal was enough to beat high-flying Blackburn Rovers, whereas Wigan are continuing to struggle at the foot of the second tier despite a change in management.

Wigan are entering a pivotal stage in their Championship season and need to pick up some points in order to close the gap between themselves and second-tier safety.
Sunderland have quality options in attacking areas and are showing why rival fans should not be underestimating their playoff credentials this campaign, with a win at the DW Stadium potentially enough to take them into the top six.

Coventry City will be looking to get back to winning ways over the Christmas period when they host Cardiff City at The Coventry Building Society Arena on Thursday night in the Championship.
The Sky Blues were beaten comprehensively by promotion-chasing Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day, whilst Cardiff drew a third consecutive game since returning from the World Cup break.

Coventry have been inconsistent of late, but a constant of their season has been the excellent performances of talisman Gyokeres - even when the rest of the team are not shining as bright as Robins would want.
Cardiff seem to be waiting for that turning point in their campaign, but with a short turnaround to this fixture, we do not see a successful evening for Hudson's men in the Midlands on Thursday.

Huddersfield Town play host to Rotherham United on Thursday evening looking for the win which could see the club move off the bottom of the Championship standings.
Meanwhile, 19th-placed Rotherham now sit just five point above their next opponents, a consequence of four matches without success.

Momentum can be everything in the Championship and Huddersfield are building some of that at a time when Rotherham have none. With that in mind, we expect a narrow victory for the home side, one which could prove massive in the context of their season.

West Brom vs. Preston (Thursday, 8.00pm)
The Championship's festive schedule continues on Thursday night as West Bromwich Albion host Preston North End at The Hawthorns, with both sides looking to mount playoff bids this season.
Albion were victorious on Boxing Day as they swept aside a lacklustre Bristol City at Ashton Gate, whereas Preston were shockingly defeated by Huddersfield Town at Deepdale.

West Brom have collected an impressive 18 points in eight matches under Corberan and look set to challenge for the top six this season when a month ago such an ambition seemed implausible for the Baggies.
Preston are beginning to slide down the Championship table, and although they are better on the road, it is hard to see them getting anything out of a clash with the division's in-form team.

Blackpool vs. Sheff Utd (Thursday, 8.15pm)
Two sides in contrasting runs of form will do battle at Bloomfield Road on Thursday, as Sheffield United travel to take on Blackpool.
The visitors sit eight points clear of third-placed Blackburn Rovers in the Championship table courtesy of four straight league victories, while their hosts have not managed a win in their last seven attempts and find themselves in the relegation zone.
We say: Blackpool 0-2 Sheffield United
Both sides have several important players out of action for Thursday's contest, and even away from home, we can only see the Blades triumphing for a fifth straight victory.
Heckingbottom's side are full of confidence and boast more quality than their visitors, and we envisage them returning home with another three-point haul.
