Queens Park Rangers have secured a slender 1-0 half-time lead over Bournemouth at Loftus Road, courtesy of Charlie Austin's 27th-minute strike.
The former Burnley hitman, who had eight goals to his name prior to kickoff, proved the most likely candidate to open the scoring, when the striker saw his header tipped over the crossbar by goalkeeper Lee Camp in the early stages.
However, Austin would not be denied a second time, as the 24-year-old poked past Camp from close range later on to secure a narrow advantage at the break.
