Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has launched a scathing attack on Paris Saint-Germain winger Javier Pastore.
Pastore scored the opening goal for PSG in their top-of-the-table Ligue 1 clash with Monaco this evening, prompting Barton to question his involvement in the match from the start.
While watching the game, Barton took to Twitter to voice his opinion before responding to fans who disagreed with his judgement.
"Sitting here scratching my head how Pastore and Lucas Moura start before Lavazzi? I know Pastore scored but he is terrible. Pastore wouldn't get a beach ball off me if we where locked in a phone box. He's turd. Anyone who thinks he isn't is clueless," Barton wrote.
"Only people who have played against him, can formulate expert opinions. Most of the nuggets saying he's brilliant need to stay off FIFA. So many experts on here. Why you all in work tomo and I'm going to play football? Yes, you guessed it. I'm better and know more than you all. I love listening to fans who have a qualified, valid opinion on football. Based on attending matches live, home and away.
"As opposed to ballbags who can't kick it straight, watch ssn all day, play computers, only watch matches on tv, get their haircuts like CR7 wear replica kits with their own names on, call their kids after their fav players and tell everyone they had trials at clubs when they where 7. Sorry chaps. Nobody cares. You know nothing about this game, I call my profession. Stick to collecting sticker books."
Barton enjoyed a season-long loan spell with Marseille in Ligue 1 last year.
