Richard Dunne has said that Queens Park Rangers had a "great battle" with Wigan Athletic in their Championship playoff semi-final.
The Hoops came from behind to beat the Latics 2-1 after extra time, with Charlie Austin scoring both of their goals to set up a meeting with Derby County in the final.
The defender told BBC Sport: "It was a very tough tie. Friday's first leg was a non-event and tonight was the main thing. It was a great battle, we all wanted it so badly. Unfortunate for Wigan they were brilliant on the night.
"It's so important to get to Wembley. We've let ourselves down in the full season and this is our second chance. We want to be back in the Premier League."
The final takes place at Wembley Stadium May 24.
