Queens Park Rangers' new signing Park Ji-Sung could reportedly be handed the captain's armband by boss Mark Hughes.
The 31-year-old agreed a two-year contract with the R's on Monday, and Hughes has hinted that the South Korean could be handed the role ahead of the new Premier League season.
"I'm sure people will want the role and will step forward for it. And Ji will get that opportunity if it is one he wants to take," Hughes told reporters.
"We have other guys with experience, people who have won Champions League like Djibril Cisse. Characters in the dressing room who can take on that mantle."
Park becomes QPR's sixth signing of the summer.
