Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has revealed that the club will appeal the red card that was handed to Shaun Derry earlier today.
The veteran midfielder was punished for a foul on Manchester United winger Ashley Young inside the area, despite the England international appearing to be in an offside position.
Discussing the decision after his side's 2-0 loss at Old Trafford, Hughes believes that the club has valid grounds for an appeal.
"We'll obviously try and appeal that and hopefully get that overturned by Wednesday," he told BBC Sport. "We can ill-afford to have any more out.
"I think everbody understood that the boy was offside and that there was minimal contact. The boy has gone over too readily."
Next up for QPR is a home fixture against Swansea City on Wednesday night.
