Chris Ramsey has praised the "intensity" of Charlie Austin's performance following his return from injury in Queens Park Rangers' defeat to Hull City.
Despite the visitors being down to 10 men at the KC Stadium, Austin equalised for QPR on his first appearance since injuring his ankle at the start of the month.
The Hoops head coach told the club's official website: "Charlie hasn't played for a little while because of his injury, but he gave us absolutely everything, like he has done all week in training.
"The intensity to his performance was so impressive. He ran himself into the ground, like they all did, that's why it hurts so much.
"There was plenty that was good about our display. The boys are just so disappointed that we didn't get what we deserved from the game."
QPR, who saw Joey Barton sent off in the first half, lost 2-1 to their relegation rivals following a late Dame N'Doye goal.
