Queens Park Rangers caretaker manager Chris Ramsey has revealed that he has spoken with Tim Sherwood about the managerial vacancy at the club.
Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Sherwood has been heavily linked with taking charge at Loftus Road following Harry Redknapp's surprise departure last week.
Ramsey, who is good friends with Sherwood, admits that he has talked with the 46-year-old about joining the club, though he also insists that chairman Tony Fernandes will be thorough in appointing a new manager.
"I'd be a liar to say I haven't spoken to him about the job," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "He's made it clear he's eager to get back into work. The fans will want to see a transparent procedure for the managerial role here and that's what's happening."
QPR are currently in 19th place in the Premier League table, two points adrift of safety.
