Harry Redknapp has put Queens Park Rangers's 4-0 defeat against Manchester United this afternoon down to the lack of fitness of his players.
The Hoops found themselves three goals behind at the interval following strikes from Angel di Maria, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney, before Juan Mata rounded off the scoring with 30 minutes remaining.
"To be honest we found ourselves 1-0 down with five minutes until half time," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "I thought if we came in at half time at 1-0 we'd still be in the game, but we gave away two goals and came in at 3-0 despite Rob Green barely having a save to make.
"You know it is going to be tough at 3-0. You don't want to get beat six or seven and it be demoralising. Some of our players need games. They need to get fit. But that is the problem with the international break. But we need to get them fit and playing."
QPR slip to 16th in the Premier League table following the loss, with Stoke City next up at Loftus Road.
