Queens Park Rangers defender Danny Simpson has dedicated their playoff semi-final victory to the club's chairman Tony Fernandes.
A 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic on Monday night kept QPR's hopes of returning to the Premier League alive, and Simpson was keen to praise Fernandes for the faith he has shown in the team this season.
"He has put a lot of faith in us, trust in us, and is always supporting us," the 27-year-old told members of the media. "That win was for him, he has been top class.
"Hopefully we can go one extra step for him and get him back in the Premier League, because he is a top man.
"I have not had much interaction with chairmen over the years but he gets involved with the lads. We want to put a smile on his face again at Wembley."
QPR meet Derby County in the playoff final on May 24.
