Queens Park Rangers defender Armand Traore has revealed his relief after his side claimed their first victory of the season at the 17th attempt against Fulham yesterday afternoon.
Their failure to win had resulted in the R's being cut slightly adrift at the foot of the table prior to the visit of their fellow Londoners.
However, two goals from Adel Taarabt at Loftus Road helped Harry Redknapp's side move off the bottom.
Having gained their maiden victory, Traore has urged his teammates to now build upon that success.
"It was definitely a relief to get that win," he told Press Association Sport. "After coming so close in a lot of the games, I think it was a big relief for the players, for the fans and for the club.
"I still think it is going to be really hard and I think that before this game we were unbeaten in three.
"It was really important to get that win, like Harry said, so I think now we can start our season."
QPR's next match is a trip to Newcastle United on Saturday.
