Neil Warnock angered by Premier League tranfer rules

QPR boss Neil Warnock is angered by the Premier League's decision to not let him sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan deal after his side's 2-1 loss at Norwich.

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock has expressed his anger at the Premier League over his club's goalkeeping dilemma.

The R's played the injured Radek Cerny between the sticks for their 2-1 defeat at Norwich City due to regular shotstopper Paddy Kenny's absence through injury.

However, Warnock was left baffled by the league's refusal to allow him to sign another keeper on an emergency loan deal.

"He [Kenny] got injured last week. We asked the Premier League if they could loan us a keeper, and if not, then if we could sign a keeper," he said.

"They managed to kick that around and talk about it for two days and came back and said we had to bring a lad back from Boreham Wood, who's only played in the reserves for two years, who we gave a free transfer to, and if not him then we had to put a 17-year-old out who hasn't played a reserve match yet, which I think is absolutely scandalous not to get any help.

"We've lost two keepers, we've got Radek who's had a permanent problem all season, has played two reserve games all season, and the Premiership can't see fit to help us? And that's the final decision from them. It's in stone."

The defeat has left Rangers 11th in the Premier League table.
