Queens Park Rangers skipper Joey Barton has insisted that he will prove his doubters wrong before the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has found himself on the sidelines in recent weeks after suffering a dip in form, but he has called on the fans to spur the R's to safety in the Premier League.
"It's a two-way thing. As players, we've got huge responsibility – but the fans have too. They become the proverbial 12th man," Barton told the QPR matchday programme.
"I'm hoping that this ground can become a united fortress for our final four home games. We're all in it together. I can't wait to get out there and prove all my doubters wrong. Over time, I'm convinced I'll do that."
QPR face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
