Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has urged his teammates to use Saturday's impressive victory over West Bromwich Albion to help them push on and achieve Premier League survival.
The Hoops ended a recent run of five games without a win by seeing off their opponents 4-1 at The Hawthorns, picking up maximum points on the road for just the second time this season in the process.
Despite the triumph, QPR still find themselves one point from safety, with just seven games of the campaign now left to play.
"We took our chances and hopefully it's a springboard for us to put a run together and make it difficult for the teams in and around the relegation zone," Barton told the club's official website.
"There's a great amount of spirit in the group, a lot of people have written us off and we have an awful lot of work to do but performances like that give us a hell of a chance. We have been putting great performances in but we haven't got the rub of the green you need."
QPR return to action in midweek when they take on fellow strugglers Aston Villa.
