Queens Park Rangers have got their pre-season off to a positive start after clinching a 3-2 win over Aldershot Town at the Recreation Ground on Friday night.
Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink's charges took the lead shortly after the quarter-hour mark as Mide Shodipo latched on to Jay Emmanuel-Thomas's through-ball and calmly slotted home.
The Shots equalised in the 23rd minute through Shamir Fenelon, but Emmanuel-Thomas struck a swift brace just after the half-hour mark to put the visitors in cruise control.
Gary Waddock's charges did not concede defeat, however, and edged back to within a goal as Guri Demuria scored in the 61st minute following a goalmouth scramble.
