Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has confessed that he would be keen to sign Etienne Capoue in the summer, provided that his side retain their Premier League status.
Redknapp attempted to capture the Toulouse midfielder towards the end of the recent January transfer window, but both parties were unable to agree terms before the deadline passed.
However, Redknapp has admitted that he could make a second approach in the summer if the R's successfully fight their way out of relegation trouble.
"I tried to sign Capoue in January. I was looking for a player to control the game. It's hard at the last minute to attract players," he is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard. "If we manage to maintain our Premier League status he might be a good option."
QPR are seven points from safety with eight matches left to contest.
