Queens Park Rangers have "reluctantly" accepted a transfer request submitted by striker Jamie Mackie.
The R's, who fell into the Championship last season, have announced on their official website that the 27-year-old has expressed a desire to leave Loftus Road.
A statement from the club said: "Jamie Mackie has today submitted a transfer request, which the club have reluctantly accepted.
"As previously stated, no player will leave QPR unless the club's valuation is met. The club will be making no further comment at this time."
QPR have confirmed that Mackie, who has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, came to the decision due to a lack of first-team opportunities during the 2012-13 campaign.
The news comes as reports emerge claiming that QPR target Gary Hooper is close to signing for Norwich City.
