Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is eager to hand a new contract to midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.
Despite recently hinting that Faurlin might not be able to make a full recovery from a second cruciate ligament injury, Redknapp has now suggested that the 27-year-old could be set for a longer stay at Loftus Road.
"I spoke to Phil Beard (QPR chief executive) this week about giving him another contract," Redknapp told reporters.
"We believe in him. He was playing fantastic before he got injured. If anyone will come back, he will."
Faurlin's current deal expires at the end of the season.
