Jermain Defoe's proposed deadline-day move to Queens Park Rangers has reportedly stalled due to wage demands.
The Toronto striker, 31, is thought to be in London at the moment negotiating with QPR manager Harry Redknapp and owner Tony Fernandes.
However, according to The Mirror, negotiations have broken down, with Fernandes unwilling to meet Defoe's £90,000-a-week salary because he is over the age of 30.
Defoe only joined the MLS club from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year, but the report goes on to state that he is keen on a move back to the Premier League before tonight's 11pm deadline.
Arsenal have also been linked with the former Spurs hitman.
