Reading defender Ian Harte has labelled Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni a "clown" after the player failed to receive a call-up to the national team.
The 35-year-old was not included in the squad to face Poland at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow for an international friendly, despite his recent form with the Royals in the Premier League.
Harte wrote on Twitter: "To all the people asking if I have retired from international football. no I haven't trap didn't even know I was Irish #whataclown."
Harte has 63 Ireland caps to his name.
