Reading forward Pavel Pogrebnyak has claimed that his red card against Brighton & Hove Albion was given unfairly by referee Graham Scott.
The Russian international was shown a second yellow card in the first half of Sunday's goalless draw at the Madejski Stadium.
"It was unfair that I was sent off. This is the first time I met such a disgusting referee in England," he told Itar-Tass.
"At my first yellow it should have been a verbal warning. And then the referee saw in my action simulation and that I was inside the penalty area.
"Actually the opponent grabbed my hands and it was out of the box. Generally, the referee showed too many yellow cards."
The dismissal means that Pogrebnyak will be suspended for tonight's Championship match against Leeds.
