Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to France to face Lille in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Sports Mole

Real Madrid make the trip to Northern France to face Lille at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Los Blancos were denied three points in the Madrid derby late on at the weekend, conceding a stoppage-time equaliser, and will look to return to winning ways here after victory on matchday one against Stuttgart.

Lille will come into the game confident after a comfortable 3-0 win over Le Havre on Saturday, and based on the fact they have won seven of their previous eight home games in Europe.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their trip to Lille on matchday two.

David Alaba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

David Alaba suffered an ACL injury last December, which has required him to undergo two operations so far, and no date has been put in place for when he may return to the fold.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was the centre of attention at the Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid, but after conceding a late equaliser, manager Carlo Ancelotti also confirmed that the Belgian suffered a muscle injury during the match, and he is not part of the squad that has travelled to Northern France.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Celta Vigo)

Dani Ceballos is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury he suffered during Real Madrid's clash with Real Betis on the first day of September, and the midfielder is being pencilled in for a return shortly after the upcoming October international break.

Brahim Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Abductor
Possible return date: Unknown

Brahim Diaz will not return until late in the year because of a hip abductor injury that he suffered against Real Sociedad midway through September.

Kylian Mbappe

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 2 (vs. Lille)

Real Madrid initially thought they would be without Kylian Mbappe until after the October international break due to the thigh injury that he picked up in the 3-2 win over Alaves last week, but an incredibly quick turnaround has seen him named in the squad for this one, even if a start remains unlikely.

Fran Garcia

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Achilles tendon
Possible return date: October 2 (vs. Lille)

Fran Garcia was on the receiving end of a horror challenge by Marcos Llorente in the final minute of the Madrid derby on Sunday, and Ancelotti has confirmed he will undergo tests regarding an Achilles tendon injury suffered in that tackle.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for their clash with Lille.
