Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Sports Mole

Real Madrid will travel to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, with two of the biggest clubs in Europe set to lock horns.

Carlo Ancelotti's side will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad in La Liga, and the capital giants are currently 13 points clear of second-placed Girona at the summit.

Los Blancos eliminated the holders Manchester City in the last round of the European Cup and will now be bidding to claim an advantage in the first leg of their last-four affair against Thomas Tuchel's side.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Bayern, who navigated their way past Arsenal in the quarter-finals.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Cadiz)

Courtois underwent surgery on an ACL injury last August; the Belgian had been in line to return at the end of March, but it was revealed before the last international break that he had suffered another knee injury. The goalkeeper, who is in the squad for this contest, is almost back to full fitness, though, and he could play against Cadiz next weekend.

David Alaba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Alaba, who is also in the travelling squad, suffered an ACL injury against Villarreal last December, and the centre-back will not be available for the capital side until the 2024-25 campaign.

Ferland Mendy

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 30 (vs. Bayern Munich)

Mendy missed out against Real Sociedad due to a minor muscular problem, but the defender should be back for the Champions League contest against Bayern.

Jude Bellingham

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Stomach flu
Possible return date: April 30 (vs. Bayern Munich)

Bellingham did not feature against Real Sociedad on Friday due to illness, but the England international is set to return for the clash at Allianz Arena.

Rodrygo

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Flu
Possible return date: April 30 (vs. Bayern Munich)

Rodrygo missed out against Real Sociedad due to illness, but the Brazil international is expected to have recovered in time for the match in Germany.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Cadiz)

Real Madrid will be missing Carvajal through suspension for the first leg, as the Spaniard picked up a milestone yellow card in the second leg of the quarter-final with Man City.
