Real Madrid legend Raul has praised Iker Casillas for helping the club to win the Champions League.
Diego Godin had capitalised on a Casillas error to put Atletico Madrid ahead, but a stoppage-time equaliser from Sergio Ramos and extra-time goals from Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo saw Madrid win their 10th European Cup.
"Iker has had a great Champions League and a great season," Marca reports Raul as saying. "He was unlucky with the goal, but if Madrid got to this final it is because he had many good days.
"He doesn't have to prove anything. I'm very happy for everyone and especially him that he was able to lift the European Cup."
Raul is the top scorer in Champions League history with 71 goals.
