Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has brushed away claims that Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is lacking form ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League Group F match at the Westfalenstadion.
Since scoring in Real's 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon last week, Ronaldo has failed to strike in two games.
Questions have been raised over his form after manager Zinedine Zidane substituted the attacker during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Las Palmas.
Tuchel, though, expects the three-time Ballon d'Or winner to be firing when the Bundesliga outfit host Madrid tomorrow evening.
"Cristiano is not in form? Who am I to say," Tuchel told reporters in a press conference. "He is one of the best footballers in the world, a winner. We expect him at his best.
"We're preparing for Real Madrid in their best form. Of course we acknowledge Real's quality. It will be huge task to defend against them.
"We will need a lot of awareness, we need to be disciplined to switch from attack to defence. We need good possession stints."
The last time these two sides met was in the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2014, when Madrid sealed a 3-2 aggregate victory.
