Two headers from Raphael Varane have given Real Madrid a 2-1 lead at the halfway stage of their Copa del Rey tie against Cornella this evening.
Sami Khedira had the first chance for the visitors, but after connecting with James Rodriguez's cross, he could only direct his header straight at the keeper.
Madrid soon took the lead in the 10th minute when Varane powered in a header from Rodriguez's corner.
The hosts stunned their opponents by levelling the scores 10 minutes later as Oscar Munoz latched on to a flick over the top, before firing a strike past Keylor Navas.
In the 36th minute the visitors restored their lead as Varane arrived at the front post to meet Isco's corner and head in his second goal of the match.
