Real Madrid have booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey by recording a 2-0 victory in the second leg of their tie against Osasuna.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Madrid started the first half slowly but managed to take the lead in the 21st minute thanks to a mistake from Osasuna goalkeeper Andres Fernandez.
Cristiano Ronaldo fired a free kick straight at Fernandez and despite getting two hands on the ball, he failed to prevent the Portuguese forward from opening the scoring.
Alvaro Cejudo came agonisingly close to pulling a goal back before the break but his curled effort from the edge of the box struck the post with Iker Casillas left helpless.
The visitors dominated possession in the early stages of the second half and put the tie beyond doubt in the 56th minute.
Jese showed good pace to earn himself some room and he picked out Angel di Maria, who calmly slotted home to make it 2-0 on the night.
Real seemed the more likely to score a late goal as Osasuna struggled to produce any kind of fightback in front of their own supporters.
Despite securing their progress, the visitors were dealt a blow in the closing stages when Fabio Coentrao was sent off for a second bookable offence following a late challenge on Oriol Riera.
