Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their Spanish Super Cup final with Barcelona.
Sports Mole

Real Madrid will attempt to lift their 13th Spanish Super Cup trophy when they face bitter rivals Barcelona in Sunday's final in Riyadh.

Los Blancos fought back from 3-2 down to beat their city neighbours Atletico Madrid 5-3 after extra time in Wednesday's semi-final clash.

Carlo Ancelotti's side will be looking to beat Barcelona for the second time this season after Jude Bellingham a brace to lead his side to victory in October's La Liga clash.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with Barcelona, who beat Osasuna on Thursday to set up a mouthwatering final.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Courtois has his work cut out to return to action before the end of the season after undergoing surgery on a serious knee injury in August.

Eder Militao

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Like Courtois, Militao is also sidelined with an ACL injury, but the defender appears to be making progress in his long road back to fitness, having been pictured jogging on the grass.

David Alaba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Alaba became the third Real Madrid player to sustain a serious knee injury this season when he was forced off in last month's clash with Villarreal, and the Austria international is now set to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Right-back Vazquez was ruled out for three weeks earlier this month after he picked up a hamstring injury prior to the club's Copa del Rey win over Arandina.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for this match.
