A late Mesut Ozil strike has seen Real Madrid go into half time locked at 2-2 against Real Valladolid this evening.
The hosts took a shock lead after just eight minutes when Patrick Ebert's cross was not cleared by Madrid, allowing Manucho Goncalves to tap in from close range.
Jose Mourinho's men were level just four minutes later, however, as Omar Ramos gifted the ball to Jose Callejon, who squared it to Karim Benzema to tap in.
Valladolid regained the lead in the 22nd minute as Manucho rose highest in the penalty area to fire a header past Casillas, making it 2-1 to the hosts.
Madrid almost hit back immediately once again when Xabi Alonso found Callejon two minutes later, but the 25-year-old's attempted chip was not good enough.
Cristiano Ronaldo had his first sight of goal shortly after the half-hour mark when he had an effort from outside of the box, but keeper Daniel Hernandez turned it around the post.
The champions got the equaliser right on the stroke of half time as Benzema found Ozil inside the box, allowing the German to force the ball over the line to make it 2-2.
