Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Elche

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga fixture against Elche.

Defending champions Real Madrid are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they play host to Elche in La Liga.

After their late equaliser against leaders Atletico Madrid at the weekend, Los Blancos remain five points adrift of top spot having played one game more than their neighbours.

While two players returned to the squad at Wanda Metropolitano, Zinedine Zidane is still having to deal with a number of injury concerns.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at Real's fitness and suspension issues ahead of the game against the 17th-placed side in the division.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Carvajal suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem against Valencia earlier this month, and the right-back is now facing another period on the sidelines.

Mariano Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Pelvis
Possible return date: Unknown

After being withdrawn during the game with Real Sociedad last week, Mariano was subsequently ruled out of the meeting with Atletico. As it stands, it is unclear when the attacker will come back into contention.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid have no suspension issues for this match.
