Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Levante

Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga fixture against Levante.
Sports Mole

Real Madrid are back in La Liga action on Thursday evening when they play host to Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With the title already wrapped up, Carlo Ancelotti is likely to rotate his squad during the remaining domestic fixtures to keep his players fresh, like he did for Sunday's 1-0 defeat to city rivals Atletico Madrid.

However, despite taking that approach now, the Italian is still waiting for a number of players to complete their rehabilitation in the treatment room.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of the upcoming fixture in Spain's capital.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg
Possible return date: Unknown

Eden Hazard recently underwent an operation to remove an osteosynthesis plate on his right fibula, and it seems unlikely that he will play again before the end of the season.

David Alaba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

While David Alaba remained absent against Atletico with a hamstring injury, there will come a time when Ancelotti will feel like the defender needs to be back in contention to earn a start in the Champions League final. As it stands, that first outing back may not come on Thursday, but progress is being made.

Gareth Bale

Status: Out
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: Unknown

Gareth Bale was absent from Real's squad at the weekend for the third game in succession courtesy of a back injury. Giving his contractual situation, there is a chance that the Wales international may sit out the remainder of the domestic campaign.

Marcelo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Marcelo is dealing with a muscle issue and will not be risked on Thursday with the title having already been wrapped up.

Isco

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Having sustained a groin problem, Isco has been ruled out of this fixture. However, the midfielder was not expected to feature anyway as he prepares to depart the club on a free transfer.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Dani Ceballos is another who may leave this summer, but the midfielder would have been in contention to start had he not sustained a groin injury. It remains to be seen whether he will return for the concluding fixtures of the season.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Marco Asensio joins the list of fringe midfielders who will miss out on selection on Thursday, the Spaniard having picked up an ankle problem.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real have no players who are suspended for this fixture.
