Real Madrid will be looking to make it back-to-back wins over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League when they welcome the Ukrainian giants to the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

Carlo Ancelotti's side recorded a 5-0 victory over Shakhtar when the two sides met in Ukraine on October 19, which saw Los Blancos move onto six points in Group D, leaving them in second position.

The capital giants will enter the clash off the back of a league success, having recorded a 2-1 victory over Elche on Saturday afternoon courtesy of a double from Vinicius Junior.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Shakhtar, who are bottom of the section on one point.

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Rayo Vallecano)

Gareth Bale remains unavailable for selection due to the hamstring injury that he picked up ahead of the clash with Celta Vigo on September 12, but the Wales international could return against Rayo Vallecano.

Karim Benzema

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: November 3 (vs. Shakhtar)

Karim Benzema was not involved against Elche on Saturday afternoon due to a minor foot problem, but the striker is expected to be passed fit for Wednesday's Champions League clash.

Dani Ceballos

Dani Ceballos sustained an ankle injury while on duty with Spain during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and is not yet close to making his return for Ancelotti's side.

Federico Valverde

Possible return date: Unknown

Federico Valverde is facing a period on the sidelines with the knee problem that he suffered in El Clasico, but it is currently unclear how much football the Uruguay international will miss.

Rodrygo

Status: Major doubt

Rodrygo had to be replaced in the 18th minute of Saturday's clash with Elche after picking up an apparent hamstring problem, meaning that he is a major doubt for the European contest.
