Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has confirmed that Sergio Ramos will not be available for Wednesday's La Liga clash against Athletic Bilbao.
The Spanish international suffered a dislocated shoulder in Los Blancos' Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk, but it had been claimed that he could be fit to play at San Mames with a support.
Benitez, however, has revealed that after a conversation with his captain, both agreed that the centre-back would not face the Basque side.
"I spoke to Sergio Ramos this morning and he is not sure. He is not going to be at San Mames," Benitez told reporters.
Fellow centre-back Raphael Varane was passed fit following an injury in the same match, however, and the Frenchman should start alongside Pepe on Wednesday.
