Sergio Aguza, who is the captain of Real Madrid Castilla, has admitted that he would "like to be up there earning" the same as recent arrival Martin Odegaard.
Odegaard officially joined the Spanish side from Stromsgodset last week and it has been reported that he will pick up in the region of £80,000 a week in wages, which is significantly higher than members of the Castilla squad.
The 16-year-old will start with the Castilla side in Madrid, with the idea of moving to the first team next season.
"It doesn't bother me, but I'd also like to be up there earning what he's apparently getting. The club do their job, put forward their ideas and in the end, everyone has to do their bit of us to achieve the collective aims," Aguza told reporters.
Castilla currently play their football in the Segunda B.
