Rafael Benitez has rveealed that he has confidence in Karim Benzema, setting the striker a target of 25 goals for the new season.
Benzema has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, but Benitez has revealed that he has no plans to sign another back-up striker and will put his faith in the France international.
"I've said many times that Benzema is a great striker," he told reporters. "That's why I've set him a target of 25 goals, to motivate him.
"We also have Cristiano, and Jese and Mayoral as back-up. We're not looking for a striker right now."
Benzema scored 22 goals for Real Madrid in all competitions last season, and has scored 133 goals in 281 appearances since joining Los Blancos from Lyon in 2009.
