Wales manager Chris Coleman has said that Gareth Bale has improved as a footballer since he joined Real Madrid.
The Welsh winger completed a world record move to the Spanish capital two years ago and has played a pivotal part in helping the club win the Copa del Rey and Champions League.
He told Sky Sports News: "He has gone there with all the pressure of being the most expensive player in the world, which is not easy. He has gone away from Tottenham to a new country, environment and culture. And it's not just what is happening on the pitch for him, but the off the pitch.
"And he has handled it superbly well since he has been there. He has got even better as a player and I thought he had a great first season."
Bale has scored 12 goals in 25 appearances for Madrid this season.
