Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez has revealed his delight after returning from injury in the 5-0 victory over Cornella on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old, who has been out of action since March with a knee injury, came off the bench to score in Madrid's 9-1 aggregate success in the Copa del Rey, and he admits that it has been difficult to watch his teammates from the sidelines.
"I'm so happy after months of suffering," Rodriguez told Gol T. "The team helped me so much, and so did the president and Real Madrid fans.
"You suffer so much when you are out for so long. It's been a tough injury and I'm not at my best yet. I missed playing with this team during my months out."
Rodriguez will be in contention to keep his place in the squad for Saturday's La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.
