Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has admitted that his team threw away two points in Sunday's Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid.
A Karim Benzema header saw Los Blancos lead the La Liga clash entering the final 10 minutes, but Luciano Vietto's leveller in the 83rd minute secured a share of the spoils for the hosts.
Navas, who also thanked God for helping him deny Antoine Griezmann from the penalty spot in the first period, has said that the game was there for his team to win.
"We wanted to win and the game was ours to win, but we slipped up and you pay for your mistakes in these types of games," Navas told reporters.
"[On his penalty save], I've always studied how players take penalties in training, and God helped me make the right decision in stopping the penalty."
Navas came close to leaving Real in the summer, but has been their first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Kiko Casilla this season.
