Marcelo has told Neymar that "the big players need to play at Real Madrid", as speculation continues to mount over the Paris Saint-Germain forward's future.
Neymar is reportedly eyeing up a swift return to Spanish football, just a year after leaving Barcelona for PSG in a record £198m transfer.
The 26-year-old is said to be unconcerned about crossing the El Clasico divide, albeit via the French capital, and Los Blancos will allegedly consider an approach later in the summer window.
For the second time in a matter of months, Marcelo has urged his Brazil teammate to push ahead with a move to the Bernabeu if the opportunity arises.
"Great players have to play here," he told AS. "Real Madrid is very big and the big players needs to play at Real Madrid."
Neymar is in training with the Brazil national team and on course to make his return to action prior to the World Cup finals, having spent more than three months on the sidelines.
