Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has left Karim Benzema out of the squad for Saturday's La Liga contest with Getafe.
The 34-year-old has scored four goals and registered one assist in eight appearances for Los Blancos this season, including three goals in five La Liga outings.
Benzema played the full 90 minutes of Wednesday's Champions League affair with Shakhtar Donetsk, meanwhile, with the European champions running out 2-1 winners on the night.
The France international did not train with Los Blancos on Friday due to fatigue, though, and he has now been left out of the squad for this contest.
Ancelotti said during his pre-match press conference that there was no injury concern, with the Italian simply taking the opportunity to rest Benzema, who missed three games earlier this season due to a muscular problem.
There is also still no Thibaut Courtois for Real Madrid, with the goalkeeper set to miss his third successive match due to an ongoing back issue.
The injury, which is said to be related to his sciatic nerve, could also rule the 30-year-old out of next week's Champions League contest with Shakhtar.
However, Ancelotti said during Friday's press conference that the Belgium international would definitely be available for El Clasico on October 16.
"With his issue, taking the flight to Warsaw might not be the best thing for him. I think he'll certainly be there for the Clasico, but we need to have a good think about whether he should make the Champions League trip," said the Italian.
As a result, Andriy Lunin is again expected to start between the sticks for Real Madrid, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna in the league last weekend.
Dani Ceballos is also out of the squad with a hamstring issue, and there were initial fears that the Spaniard could be on the sidelines until January.
"Following the tests carried out today on our player Dani Ceballos by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a injury to his femoral biceps. His progress will be monitored," read a statement from Real Madrid on Thursday.
The problem is believed to be less serious than initially believed, with the 26-year-old potentially being out for around four weeks rather than three months.
Lucas Vazquez has recently recovered from an injury of his own and is again in the squad alongside Luka Modric, who was an unused substitute against Shakhtar due to his recent fitness issue.
