Luis Suarez has insisted that he is ready to make his Barcelona debut against fierce rivals Real Madrid later this month.
Suarez hasn't played a competitive game since June after he was banned by FIFA for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini while playing for Uruguay at the World Cup.
Despite the lack of action, the former Liverpool striker claimed that he was prepared to make his Barca bow against Los Blancos in El Clasico later this month.
Speaking at an awards ceremony after receiving the Golden Shoe for his 31 goals for Liverpool last term, Suarez said: "Every player has to be prepared to play every game - I feel good.
"Maybe if you had asked me two weeks ago the answer would not have been the same but after the two friendlies with Uruguay I am very happy with the condition I am in.
"I feel a lot better than I thought I would."
Suarez joined Barca for around £75m in July.
