Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has admitted that Karim Benzema has had a "complicated" season when it comes to goals.
The Frenchman has only registered nine goals in 38 appearances for the Spanish champions this season, with just five of those coming in the league.
The 30-year-old has managed 11 assists in all competitions, however, and played a key role in Madrid recording a 2-1 win over Malaga at La Rosaleda on Sunday night.
"Benzema? He's not going to throw in the towel. He likes scoring and had chances. He played very well and only lacked the goal. It's been complicated for him in front of goal this season, but it's not over yet," Zidane told reporters.
Benzema, who has a contract at the Bernabeu until the end of the 2020-21 season, has two goals and one assist in six Champions League appearances for the semi-finalists this season.
