How Real Madrid could line up against Granada

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Monday's La Liga clash with Granada.

Real Madrid will be looking to move a step closer to winning La Liga when they travel to top-six hopefuls Granada on Monday night.

Los Blancos made it eight straight league wins by beating Alaves on Friday evening and are now just two victories away from clinching the title.

As it stands, the gap to second-placed Barcelona is four points, although the reigning champions will have the chance to move to within one point when they face Real Valladolid on Saturday night.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Madrid could line up when they take to the field against Granada, who are currently ninth in Spain's top flight.

Out: Marcelo (adductor), Nacho (thigh)

Madrid were without the services of both Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos against Alaves through suspension, but the pair are expected to return to the XI for this match, with Lucas Vazquez and Eder Militao dropping out.

Nacho and Marcelo are both out through injury, but Raphael Varane recovered from a head injury to feature on Friday, while Eden Hazard appeared off the bench after concerns over an ankle problem.

Hazard could now return to the XI, while there is a chance that Federico Valverde's energy could be preferred to Luka Modric's experience in this particular match.

Marco Asensio should again keep out the likes of Isco, Gareth Bale and Vinicius Junior to feature on the right, though, while Karim Benzema is certain to keep his spot at the tip of the attack.

Zidane has plenty of options for change all over the park, but the Frenchman is expected to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack, with the five-substitute rule allowing him to keep his players fresh.
