Real Madrid concluded their 2023-24 campaign by winning the Champions League final, which capped another excellent season for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Los Blancos beat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium to make it a La Liga and European Cup double last term, and the club will now be looking ahead to the 2024-25 season.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the Real Madrid players whose contracts either expire next season or in the summer of 2026.

Which Real Madrid players are out of contract next summer?

Ferland Mendy

Age: 28
Position: Left-back
Transfer value: £17m
Joined: July 1, 2019
Joining fee: £47m
Real Madrid appearances: 170
Real Madrid goals: 6

Honours at Real Madrid

  • La Liga (3): 2019-20, 2021-22, 2023-24

  • Copa del Rey (1): 2022-23

  • Spanish Super Cup (3): 2019-20, 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Champions League (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • There has been ongoing speculation surrounding Mendy's future at Real Madrid, but he is undoubtedly the team's first-choice left-back when fit and available for selection.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a strong 2023-24 campaign for Los Blancos, and it would not be a surprise to see him offered a new deal despite the club's alleged pursuit of Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.

    Andriy Lunin

    Age: 25
    Position: Goalkeeper
    Transfer value: £13.6m
    Joined: June 23, 2018
    Joining fee: Undisclosed
    Real Madrid appearances: 48
    Real Madrid goals: 0

    Honours at Real Madrid

  • La Liga (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • Copa del Rey (1): 2022-23

  • Spanish Super Cup (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Champions League (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2022

  • Lunin missed out on an appearance for Real Madrid in the Champions League final due to Thibaut Courtois's return to fitness, but he has shown his quality during the 2023-24 campaign.

The Ukraine international is likely to be offered a new deal, but having had a taste of first-team action this season, he might decide to move on to be a number one elsewhere.

    Dani Carvajal

    Age: 32
    Position: Right-back
    Transfer value: £10.2m
    Joined: July 1, 2013
    Joining fee: £5.5m

  • UEFA Champions League (6): 2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (4): 2014, 2016, 2017, 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (5): 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022

  • Carvajal got his name on the scoresheet in the 2023-24 Champions League final, putting in a man-of-the-match performance at Wembley Stadium.

The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2025, but he could be offered a new deal off the back of what has been one of his best seasons for the club in terms of personal performance.

    Jesus Vallejo

    Age: 27
    Position: Centre-back
    Transfer value: £850,000
    Joined: July 15, 2015
    Joining fee: £5.1m
    Real Madrid appearances: 31
    Real Madrid goals: 1

    Honours at Real Madrid

  • La Liga (1): 2021-22

  • Copa del Rey (1): 2022-23

  • Spanish Super Cup (1): 2021-22

  • UEFA Champions League (2): 2017-18, 2021-22

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (2): 2018, 2022

  • Vallejo is back at Real Madrid after spending the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Granada, but he is not believed to be in the plans of Los Blancos moving forward.

As a result, the defender could leave on another loan deal or a permanent basis this summer.

Which Real Madrid players are out of contract in June 2026?

    Thibaut Courtois

    Age: 32
    Position: Goalkeeper
    Transfer value: £23.7m
    Joined: August 8, 2018
    Joining fee: £35m
    Real Madrid appearances: 235
    Real Madrid clean sheets: 96

    Honours at Real Madrid

  • La Liga (3): 2019-20, 2021-22, 2023-24

  • Copa del Rey (1): 2022-23

  • UEFA Champions League (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2022
  • Courtois missed the majority of last season with a serious knee injury, but the Belgian did return towards the end of the campaign and featured in the Champions League final.

The 32-year-old remains one of the best goalkeepers in world football, and it would not be a surprise to see him soon pen a new contact with the capital giants.

    Antonio Rudiger

    Age: 31
    Position: Centre-back
    Transfer value: £21.2m
    Joined: June 2, 2022

  • UEFA Champions League (1): 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2022

  • Rudiger was a vital player for Real Madrid during the 2023-24 campaign, making 48 appearances in all competitions, and he has been an excellent performer for the club over the last two seasons.

As a result, it would not be a surprise to see the centre-back soon handed fresh terms at Bernabeu.

    David Alaba

    Age: 32
    Position: Centre-back
    Transfer value: £16.9m
    Joined: May 28, 2021

  • Champions League (2): 2021-22, 2023-24

  • UEFA Super Cup (1): 2022

  • FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2022
  • Alaba missed the second half of last season with a serious knee injury, and he is not expected to be back on the field until later this year due to the seriousness of the damage.

There has been speculation surrounding the Austria international's long-term future at Bernabeu, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the defender.

    Reinier

    Age: 22
    Position: Attacking midfielder
    Transfer value: £3m
    Joined: January 20, 2020
    Joining fee: £26m
    Real Madrid appearances: 0
    Real Madrid goals: 0

Reinier is yet to make a single appearance for Real Madrid since his arrival from Flamengo in January 2020.

The 22-year-old has spent time out on loan with Borussia Dortmund, Girona and Frosinone, and it does not appear that there is a long-term future for the Brazilian at the club.

    Rafa Marin

    Age: 22
    Position: Centre-back
    Transfer value: £6.4m
    Joined: July 1, 2016
    Joining fee: Youth player
    Real Madrid appearances: 0

Marin is back with Real Madrid this summer after spending the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Alaves, featuring on 33 occasions in Spain's top flight.

The centre-back has never made a first team appearance for Los Blancos, and he is being tipped to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer.
