Real Madrid midfielder Isco has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Barcelona.
Despite being linked with a move to the Premier League, Isco has recently said that he is keen to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu after regaining his place in the team.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are monitoring Isco's current situation with his existing deal due to expire in 2018.
The 24-year-old has been in and out of the team over the past 12 months but he has recently contributed to Real's victories over both Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon.
He is expected to remain in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future after Gareth Bale was ruled out until March with an ankle injury.
