Real Madrid are reportedly yet to receive their first instalment of payment from Inter Milan for Achraf Hakimi.
The 22-year-old made the switch to San Siro last summer after spending two years on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and he has already registered six goals and four assists from 17 Serie A appearances.
Inter forked out a fee of £36m to land Hakimi in the transfer window, and Real were supposedly due to receive the first £9m from the Italian giants last month.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic have prevented Inter from being able to pay, and Real have agreed to postpone the first instalment until the end of March.
The report adds that Inter's players are yet to receive November and December's wages amid the ongoing crisis, but Real will demand two instalments of Hakimi's fee in March due to their own financial struggles.
Hakimi's Inter sit second in the Serie A table before Sunday's crunch match with perennial champions Juventus.
