Midfielder Luka Modric has said that he wants to spend "several years" at Real Madrid.
Modric helped Croatia to the World Cup final in the summer, and speculation soon emerged regarding the player's alleged desire to join Inter Milan.
However, after being named as the UEFA Men's Player of the Year, Modric indicated that he intends to see out the best years of his career at the Bernabeu.
The 32-year-old is quoted by Marca as saying: "I'm not happy - I'm extremely happy at Real Madrid and I want to continue at this club for several years."
Modric still has two years remaining on his contract with the European champions.
