Real Madrid have reportedly not ruled out an approach for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in the coming days.
Los Blancos have continually been linked with Paul Pogba throughout the summer transfer window, despite Manchester United maintaining their stance that the World Cup winner is not for sale.
However, while Real have seemingly accepted that they will not be able to sign the France international before September 2, it appears that Zinedine Zidane is still contemplating adding to his squad.
According to Correio da Manha, the La Liga giants may make a bid for Fernandes, with Sporting likely to be open to parting ways with their most prized asset.
The report suggests that a deal could be completed before next Monday, providing that Real are willing to meet the £63m valuation of the Portugal international.
The 24-year-old has already contributed one goal and four assists from three league outings this season.
