Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dismissed suggestions that Iker Casillas will leave the club in January.
The Spain international goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu after struggling to find his way back into the first team since the start of last year.
"It'll be difficult for him to leave in [the next transfer window]," Perez told Cadena SER.
"Mou's (Jose Mourinho) decision on dropping Casillas was made for sporting reasons. He gave him a little warning and then after that it was because he was injured."
Casillas is currently recovering from a rib injury he suffered while making his first start for Madrid this season against Galatasaray in the Champions League last week.
